It is now over a year since we held our last concert. If you have a good memory you will remember it was on Tuesday February 18th 2020 and the artist was Ryan Edwards.  Since then we have put in place our move to Coronation Hall and now following the Government’s announcement of its “Road Map” out of lockdown we can begin to plan for a return of live music in Woodhall Spa once more.  Whilst we cannot be sure of an exact date it, does now look as though a return may be possible by September. The crucial thing for us is whether there will still be social distancing measures in place and if so what they are. We do know that by setting out Coronation Hall with small tables and given the large floor area, it will be possible to space groups out quite significantly, which should make everyone feel safe.  There are plenty of small windows to give good ventilation, so we feel we will be able to offer a comfortable and safe environment for our members and visitors.

As soon s we have a firm date to resume our regular “Music for Woodhall” concerts we will of course let you all know. If you have never visited a “Music for Woodhall” concert why not take the opportunity of our new start to come along and try.  It really is a lovely evening, where you can listen to beautiful music of many styles played by artists who are at the top of their profession.  You will hear light classics, Show and Film music, Ballads, music from the 40s, 50s, 60s right up to the present day, even light jazz and Brass Bands! It is also a great opportunity to make new friends and have an evening to really look forward to once a month, virtually on your doorstep. If you join the Society membership costs £8 per annum and admission is £6. If you come as a visitor admission is £8, so if you decide to come more than 4 times in the year it is worth joining.  Existing members will have the unused 5 months of their 2019/20 membership and any unused months of the 2021/22 year depending on when we restart, credited when they rejoin.
