OUR APRIL 4TH CONCERT

WITH ELIZABETH HARRISON

    Elizabeth Harrison at Woodhall Spa

We were treated to a magnificent concert on Friday 4th April when Ellizabeth Harrison played a very varied programme of great music.

She opened with “I can’t take my eyes off you” followed by an old favourite - The Sports Report March, “Out of the Blue”. She then transported us to the Tower ballroom at Blackpool for a medley of dance music, using the Blackpool Wurlitzer sounds. We were then treated to “Now I Know” from James Last, the “Aces High” march and unusually a Paso Doble, “Skyliner” and much more. She concluded her first half with a medley of Cha Cha music finishing aptly with “Tea For Two”.

The second half opened with “You’ve Got Troubles, I’ve Got Mine”. There was an Old Time Waltz medley, the March “Sons of the Brave” and  then some Scottish music including “Highland Cathedral”. Elizabeth then played the lovely “Music Box Dancer” which she plays so beautifully. The concert concluded with “The More I See You” and following tremendous applause she played for her encore “We’ll Meet Again”; a sentiment echoed by the whole of our audience. Thank you Elizabeth for a really great evening of music and entertainment.

Our concert next month will be given by Andrew Nix and is on Friday 2nd May, 2025 at 7.30pm at Coronation Hall, Spa Road. Woodhall Spa, LN10 6PZ. We look forward to seeing you all.
