OUR APRIL CONCERT

WITH ELIZABETH HARRISON

   Elizabeth Harrison at Woodhall Spa

It may have been Good Friday but that didn't stop a large audience gathering for the concert given by Elizabeth Harrison. Elizabeth didn't disappoint us. Her medleys contain so many different tunes it is quite difficult to remember them all. She did start with a series of March tunes which included the Luftwaffe March from the film "Aces High" together with many others! "In the Party Mood" better known as Housewive Choice was included in another medley.  We had music in the James Last style, the Prelude in Classic Style and a beautiful version of "Music Box Dancer". "Teddy Bear's Picnic" followed and the march "Blaze Away" and to take us up to the interval the Cha-Cha style "Tea for Two". The second half started with a medley of Scottish tunes including "I Belong to Glasgow", and "Highland Cathedral". It was a really great evening and was very much appreciated by our audience.

Next month our concert, which is on Friday May 1st. will be given by Nicholas Martin BEM. We look forward to seeing you all, so do make a note in your diary for 7.30pm on Friday May 1st. at Coronation Hall, Spa Road, Woodhall Spa, LN10 6PZ.
