OUR  JULY CONCERT

WITH ROD POOLEY

  Rod Pooley at Woodhall Spa

A good sized audience gathered for Rod Pooley’s concert. He opened with “You’re the One” quickly followed by a Viennese Waltz. “Let it Shine” from Take That followed and a medley of tunes from Abba, some French music, the famous theme from the film “Titanic” culminating in a tremendous version of Irish music in the style of “Riverdance” to finish the first half of the concert. The second half opened with “You are the Sunshine of my Life” and some tunes from Boyzone, including “No Matter What”. Rod really got the audience behind him with “The Dambusters” March and the theme from “Dad’s Army”. Michael Jackson’s “Earth Song” was very well received by the audience and then Rod sang “Route 66” which was also very popular.  The second half continued with “Blue Moon”, “Mambo No.5” and some Country and Western music and culminated in Abba’s “Waterloo”. All in all it was a great evening of music and was very well received by our audience.

Next month our concert, which is on Friday August 7th  will be given by Michael Wooldridge and is guaranteed to be another great night of music.  We look forward to seeing you all there, so do make a note in your diary for 7.30pm on Friday August 7th. at Coronation Hall, Spa Road, Woodhall Spa, LN10 6PZ.
