OUR DECEMBER 6TH CONCERT

    Tony Stace at Woodhall Spa

We had an audience of 49 for Tony Stace's Christmas Concert. The combination of the weather conditions and illness was sadly apparent. Tony gave us a truly superb evening of music, most of it new to his concert programme. The highlight of the evening was without doubt his own medley of the music from "The Snowman" which he played to accompany a shortened version of the film which was displayed on a large screen (See picure). The first half of the concert began with a medley of Christmas music followed by an Elvis Presley medley, The Pizzicato Polka by Strauss followed then  another Christmas medley and then a little known March, "Spark" by Kenneth J Alford. He concluded his first half with the "Snowman" medley and film. The second half got off to a lively start with the "Radetsky" March by Strauss followed by music from "Phantom of the Opera". More Christmas music followed and then "The Stars and Stripes" march. We then went Latin American with a Latin medley followed by music from the 70s starting with "Dancing Queen" and concluding with "YMCA". It was a wonderful and memorable evening, thoroughly enjoyed by all present. Very many thanks Tony and we look forward to your return to Woodhall Spa in November 2025.

Next month is our January concert, which being played by Lewis Scott on Friday January 3rd. 2025. at 7.30pm at Coronation Hall, Spa Road, Woodhall Spa, LN10 6PZ. We look forward to seeing you all.
